When we planned Rebecca and Ellis' engagement photoshoot, we carefully chose the day with the best weather all week. Not a drop of rain on the radar. Of course, that meant when the day arrived, the heavens opened in the most spectacular fashion. We had a little sun to start off with, but soon had to take cover under the umbrellas and trees. After a little while reviewing the shots we had taken so far, we decided that the weather showed as much sign of clearing up as the M6 on a Friday afternoon, so we just went for it.
Despite the rain, we had a great time and got some lovely images. There's something rather romantic about a walk in the rain, and we were able to use that to our advantage.
It even cleared up a bit eventually and when the sun came out, we got one last chance with a bit of sunshine before heading to the studio for a few formal shots.
After changing out of the wet clothes, and slipping into something a little smarter, we had some fun posing and trying out a few ideas we'd discussed prior to the day. They're a great couple, and hopefully the photos we got stand testament to that, but most importantly, we all had a good laugh and a lovely day.
